Huffman and Ohanian were accepted on the Startup Accelerator program as well as the fate of those articles decided by anonymous and downvote systems. Huffman and Ohanian were consequently accepted onto the startup accelerator program received and they have got twelve thousand dollars in seed funding. Reddit was launched on 23 June 2005, Medford, Massachusetts, United States.

The website name was a simple play on words, and the first 100 user accounts were created by Huffman and Ohnion, soon to be joined by another graduate of the founders to create the illusion that Reddit was widely used. Aaron Swartz joined Reddit another graduate of the combinator program at the end of 2005.

In October 2006 media company Condé Nast approached the founders to purchase Reddit and they were overwhelmed at the age of 22 and 23 to make $ 16 million. He accepted the Condé Nast proposal, stating reports of between $ 10 million and $ 20 million. The founders, therefore, moved to San Francisco with the company’s new headquarters.

Former Founder Swartz Committed Suicide-
