Apple just released the new Apple A14 Bionic chip ( it makes the iPhone 12 series more powerful) and this chip is more powerful than Apple is claiming. in this article, I am going to share with you a detailed comparison between the A14 and the A13 bionic chipsets.

First of all, let’s have a look at the size of both these chips. the A13 bionic was a 7-nanometer chip with a square size of 98.5 millimeters and it paid around 8.5 billion transistors but on the other hand

The a14 bionic is a 5-nanometer chip (the First 5 nm chip in the industry) with a square size of 100 millimeters and it packs around 11.8 billion transistors which in simple words means that we will see a 15 improvement in performance and around 25 to 30 improvement in power.

Efficiency in the apple a14 bionic chip as compared to the a13 chipset now let’s discuss the CPU performance so when the apple a13 was launched it didn’t hit major changes in CPU cores rather the company improved the clock speed to improve the performance and as a result of that, the a13 chip was 20 percent ahead of its producer a20 in terms of Geekbench 5 scores.
however, the apple a14 will be using a 6 CPU configuration, and out of these 6 CPU 4 will be efficiency core and 2 will be performing core also the apple a14 will have a clock speed of around 3.1 gigahertz which is 400 megahertz higher than its producer a13 and according to experts with this 6 CPU configuration and improved clock speed the apple a14 bionic chip will hit 5000 points on Geekbench 5 test which is absolutely insane because no other smartphone has ever crossed 3300 points mark until this date

now let’s talk about the most important element and that is the GPU and let’s talk about the role of GPU so it’s a processor dedicated to graphics processing operations one of the main functions of the GPU is to lighten the load on the CPU especially when running a graphic intensive application like games or 3d graphics editing so both the apple a14 and a13 have 4 core GPU solution but one thing is for sure that the a14 will have an upper hand on the a13 because of the new and powerful GPU cores and according to some Twitter leaks the apple a14 will have 50 percent improved GPU performance than its predecessor apple a13.
